DHIS Primary 2 Buah Batu held its annual STEMpreneur event, themed “Trash to Treasure, STEMpreneur for Nature,” on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The activity encouraged students to transform waste materials into useful, creative products while developing environmental awareness and entrepreneurial skills.
Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and entrepreneurship, students created various products, including Eco Green Bookmark, Eco Scribble, Nature Dye Tote Bag, Loop Beads, and Patch to Puff, using recycled paper, old T-shirts, food packaging, and fabric scraps.
Beyond creating their products, students presented their work to judges and peers, explaining the functions and processes behind their creations. This experience strengthened their creativity, problem-solving, communication skills, and self-confidence.
STEMpreneur also introduced students to the 3R principles: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, inspiring them to take simple, meaningful steps toward a more sustainable environment.
Parent evaluator Ratu Fira Grizelda Trifadhia, S.Psi., CPHRM, appreciated the event for providing students with opportunities to showcase their creativity, develop practical skills, and build confidence in public speaking.
Through STEMpreneur, DHIS Primary 2 Buah Batu continues to nurture innovative, environmentally conscious students who are ready to create meaningful solutions while upholding the values of akhlaq taught at Darul Hikam.
